STAGE REVIEW November 2004
One of the evening’s real highlights was the performance of Welsh balladeer Paul Kaye.
Performing in the main these days as part of a theatre show tribute to Harry Secombe, Kaye reminded us that he still has lots to offer us as a solo cabaret artist.
Memories of the great Anthony Newley were evoked with a superbly sung version of What Kind of Fool Am I?,

Mike JeromeMIKE JEROME
“THE INTERNATIONAL TOY BOY"
Comedian/funnyman and all round entertainer Mike Jerome first introduced the character "The International Toy Boy" in 1986. But he recalls as far back as 1959 while living at home he joined his first band "The Kentucky Kids" which featured none other than Brian Connelly who later went on to form the world famous band "The Sweet".
In 1970 he went on and became a world famous redcoat, it was in his years with Billy Butlin and after becoming Pontin's entertainer of the year that Mike decided to embark on his now well acclaimed solo career.

Summer Seasons
Mike has performed in various summer seasons across the UK, and to name a few, Jersey's Ceasar's Palace, Lakeside and seasons for Butlins, Pontins,Warners etc.
Cruises
Over recent years Mike has taken to cruising with performances on P&O’s Ocean Village and various ships for Air tours
Pantomime
Mike is well suited to panto with his off the cuff comedy and natural quick wit. Some of these include Babes in the wood produced by Dougie Chapman, Captain Hook in Peter Pan, Goldilocks and the three bears at the Hazlett Theatre Maidstone and also as a part of the new "Crazy Gang" in Dick Whittington Watersmeet Theatre Rickmansworth
Theatre
To be quite truthful what theatre hasn't Mike performed in? The London Palladium, The Albert Hall and St David's Hall Cardiff are three of his many many conquests. He can be currently seen in the touring Show “This is my Song” a show celebrating the life of Sir Harry Secombe which was recently performed in the presence of Dame Vera Lynn and Lady Myra Secombe.
Television
Mike was the outright winner of Opportunity Knocks in 1987. Other credits include Pebble Mill, LWT's Six o'clock show, HTV. He is also a very well known warm up comedian for television such as Last of the Summer Wine, Bread and Ready Steady Cook.
Music
During the past decade Mike's love of singing has caused him to write, record and release six songs including Toyboy, Gone and lost my little yo-yo and Not another Christmas.

As you can see Mike is an established comic in all aspects of entertainment but we mustn't forget his world famous Toy Boy routine, theatre supports, compering, after dinner events and functions. Mike's most proudest achievements were when he was voted twice in 1987 and 2000 by his comedy peers as captain of the Comedian's Golfing Society. His career has enabled him to work, tour and become friends with some very famous names, these include Michael Barrymore, Brian Conley, Jim Davidson, Shane Richie, Mike Reid, Jimmy Jones, The Drifters, The Three Degrees, Neil Sedaka and Frankie Vallie and many more.
In conclusion I am sure you will agree, that his conquests to date, prove that he really is a rare talent indeed.

Mike is also available in partnership with Paul Kaye in a show entitled Fatman and the Tenor
